Synopsis[]
Storytellers tells the tale of a group of authors gathered from around the world by the Mage, who needs them to tell the stories of fairytale characters who have fled their fallen world to Los Angeles. Intending to rewrite the world of the fairytale characters, the Storytellers meet the fairy-tale characters and ultimately rewrite the worlds of story.

Etta Schmidt, executive producer of the Villains Unite! universe of shows and United Nations, pitched another pilot to ABC concerning another fairy-tale themed series, this time taking place in Los Angeles and featuring fairy-tale refugees whose happy endings could only be returned if a group of storytellers rewrote their stories. ABC ordered the series' first season, Season 1, on September 1, 2016 for a 2017 premiere.
